TODD 'MINGO' MINGRAMM

Mingo is your guide to the world of Surf & SUP.

Introduced to surfing by his father at age 8 Todd quickly became fascinated by the water surfing everyday and competing by the age of 10.

Todd has competed in the Australian titles ever since entering the under 14’s division all the way to the open division and was selected by Elouera Boardriders Club to compete in teams events interstate, he also became Junior Club Champ and in later years Open Champ for a number of years.

Sponsored By Billabong

In his teens Todd was sponsored by Billabong and other big name brands and competed interstate on the Pro junior series and overseas at a WQS level (world qualifying series,) gaining contest results and magazine coverage Todd became a household name on the surf scene!

California - Josh Baxter

In his early 20’s Todd took a job in California working for Josh Baxter (pro surfer) and son of Jackie Baxter (pipeline pioneer of the 60’s) at his surf camp in San Clemente. Todd worked alongside Josh as his right hand man and after a few seasons gaining skills and knowledge Todd returned home to Australia and became head coach at Blake Johnston's (professional surfer) surf school Cronulla Surfing Academy furthering his coaching reputation.

Standup Paddleboarding

In the meantime Todd was introduced to Standup Paddleboarding by friend Dane Wilson (professional longboarder and standup paddlesurfer.) Due to an ongoing back injury from an accident in his early teens paddleboarding helped to assist Todd with core strength and injury rehab. After a few sessions Todd was hooked and there was no turning back, the physical benefits were so rewarding and the enjoyment and excitement for a new challenge was the birth of a new passion and love!

Since taking up the sport Todd’s had the privilege to paddle with and take tips from big name paddlers such as Kai Lenny, Gerry Lopez, Tom Carroll, Jim Terrell, Chuck Patterson, Riggs Napoleon & Annabel Anderson.

Todd has presented Standup Paddleboard Accreditation Courses for Surfing Australia and also helped write both the Flat Water & Waves Manuals for Surfing Australia
